A: Posting a job has never been easier. Click the Post a Job button, fill out the simple form and enter your details. There, you’re done! (If you need help with your Job Description, just ask the team by clicking on the bubble in the bottom-right!)

Q: How do I speak to someone at YapJobs?

A: Simply click on the bubble in the bottom-right and say Hello!

Q: How do I contact applicants?

A: Sign In to your dashboard using the email and password that you set when you first Signed Up. Forgotten your password? Don’t worry! Click here to recover it.

Q: Do you send CVs?

A: No, but we do one better: Electronic Profiles. We capture all the key information and also give you access to Pictures, Video Introductions and About Me’s.

Q: What does the Y Score mean?

A: Yap's Y-score assesses how closely matching an applicant is for your job. Using our powerful algorithm, we score applicants on multiple criteria, including distance, experience and profile completion. Candidates cannot see their own Y-Score.

Q: How do I shortlist applicants?

A: Sign In to your dashboard to view your applicants. In a single click, place your applicants into the ‘Shortlist’ or ‘Not Selected’ folders.

Q: Is there a charge if I hire successfully?

A: There is no charge for successful hires.

Q: How do I invite candidates?

A: Sign In to your dashboard, select the job you want to invite applicants for and click Matches Nearby (left menu). All that’s left is clicking Invite!

Q: How do I apply for jobs?

A To apply for jobs you need to download the YapJobs app and create a profile! It is currently available on the App Store (iOS) and Google Play (Android). If you need help, click on the little bubble in the bottom right and say Hello!

Q: Do I need my CV?

A: No! You need to create an Electronic Profile instead. Don’t worry, it only takes a few minutes!

Q: Is my personal information safe?

A: Every precaution is taken to protect your data. We vet every single employer to ensure that you and your details are always safe!

Q: Can I apply for jobs online?

A: At the moment this is not possible. You need to download the app.

Q: How long does it take for employers to respond?

A: This varies from employer-to-employer. Normally an employer will be in touch within 24 hours, so stay close to your phone!

Q: How do I contact employers?

A: After you have applied for a job, you need to wait for the employer to start the conversation. Keep checking the app for any updates!

Q: How do I find out if I have been hired?

A: It is the employer’s responsibility to let you know. Always check the app for updates!
